    Hello fellow workers,

I saw some great professionals coming from this site to vote on YourWorkplace last semester (due to posting in the professional section! :|).

So I though it could kind of cool to add a public thread here about the website and to let you know that everyone can rate their company again as of.... today! (we are entering the new semester :)). I count on you all!

I would be grateful :cube: if you could spend a moment to rate the company you are working for (or suggest a new one if not in list).

    Why rating on this site?

    1. It's only for poeple working in the video game industry
    2. People can't vote for a company they don't have email access (so EA can't skew results from Ubisoft), and by extension only vote once per semester.
    3. It shows an evolution through time as company evolve (hence this call for the new semester)

If you are willing to spend 5 minutes on this: search your company/office first in the (list of companies) and invite yourself with the email invite box once you are on the office stats page (e.g.: Starbreeze Studios). Yes, you need your business email to be able to rate.

PS: I'm redecorating the website for the new year, so expect a few page to look... odd.

PPS: Of course, any suggestion more than welcomed!

    Happy new year to all!

    Best,

Sounds like a good idea. Just not sure whether this would work in small companies that would want to leave negative reviews (but true reviews) as the boss would might use it against you.

Although I really liked the idea about looking at other companies and seeing what it’s like to work for them.

I think it might be better to not mentioned worst companies as this has a very negative connotation to it.

    Thanks Dazzer

Last semester I revamped the website with a flash library to display results but the slowness of the library and obscurity of the concept drove a few people away sadly. So I will try to arrange this again.

The choice of having 5 votes before displaying results can indeed prevent small companies to be listed. It also allows for better anonymity (and the website has this at heart).

As for bad companies, they can always try to do better the next semester! :)

    new semester...

It's a new semester now, so everyone can vote again and we start to see some interesting evolutions on some companies!

I reduced the required number of votes from 5 to 3. That should address the small company size.

I revamped the display, which is now faster to load and more informative! and I improved the navigation between semesters.
