Vouching would make it faster, get your friend to PM me. Apologies, but you have to remember this all volunteer work.

I've had two programmers vouch for me, yet still no luck :(.

    Ah well - nevermind.

Now that you've posted here try getting them to vouch again

If they've just mailed it in, then it's sitting in the same queue that isn't being processed particularly quickly. If you get them to PM an admin, it's likely to happen faster.

It's ok, unfortunatly my friend isn't a member so can't vouch for me, I understand these things take a while, I guess I was just checking to see if I was still on the list... I'm sure I qualify without vouching, I don't mind waiting.
    Cheers!

Me and a couple of old uni mates joined up at once and none of us have been accepted yet. Kinda sucks but what you going to do? It's not as if free-time is a great commodity for some of us.

I've already signed up but I didn't put a referral.. Is there a way I can add the referral later or should I create a new account?

    thanks.

Hey, it looks like tomorrow is my one year aniversary of me sending a request to get approved. Time to add another year spent in the industry and send it off again. I wonder if same people wont be too annoyed to vouch for me again.

In the meantime, does anyone know of any other good game development forums/communities with knowledgeable, serious people to swap info with? Seems that the most informative forums are behind NDAs or completely behind corporate firewalls..

A long time apparently :) I sent my e-mail in September. Seriously though, thanks to the mods and admins who run the site, obviously it's a labor of love so I'll wait years if I have to (though hopefully it won't take that long)

Just to be sure though...apart from sending it from my work address, linking my Mobygames profile, and supplying all the pertinent information, is there anything I should have done in my e-mail to get approved sooner than later?

I'd rather not walk around work asking if people are on TCE because 1) I don't want to be that guy 2) because I usually forget about it if it's not on my mind...this is the first time I've thought about this place since I sent the e-mail.

Yeah, it can take quite a while. I've been waiting for a couple of weeks now and no reaction yet. I asked a colleague that already has an account here to vouch for me, so I'm hoping that works

So I sent in my app when I was a brash enthusiastic youth, only a few months in the industry. Now, about 1.5 years later, I'm wondering, not how long it takes to get approved, but if you get some sort of notification if you're denied?

We currently have an email backlog. If you can get someone to vouch for you, get them to PM either myself, or the Prof, with your username, and we'll take a look.

And if there be nobody to vouch? The wait goes on?

Little shocked to see people here saying they applied over a year ago and have had no feedback what so ever.

    *sits back down*
