Evony legal fighting fund

My questions would be answered if Bruce made some kind of Blue Peter Totaliser that he would update each week by pouring milkbottle tops or something down a tube until it reaches the level of how much money has been donated.

 

So about eight quid then.

 

I just had a play of Evony, having seen an ad for it on Facebook and clicked through.

Not really my kind of game, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't doing anything overly evil - indeded, it seemed a reasonably good example of the kind of 'new revenue models' Bruce has previously blogged about being a good thing. Nothing as bad as, say, Zynga have been reported as doing (getting revenue from dubious mobile subscription ads although, to be fair to Zynga, they're stopping that apparently).

If I'd potentially libelled the company behind it, I'd be spending a little time working out how to ringfence my assets (which I really should have done before starting such a blog). Hints 1) transfer them to your spouse assuming he/she won't do a runner with them or 2) put them in a trust where you are a potential beneficiary. Keep up the free speech fight by all means, just make sure you've covered yourself first.

This thread is a real disappointment. I came here looking for a way to donate money to Evony to fight off that insane blogger but I was sorely let down at what I found instead :-(

I came in here looking to give my money to someone who actually deserved it.. like some homeless bum on the street or something.. at least by doing nothing and not working and being a lazy asshole the bum deserves my money slightly more than some other people....

Amusing, I have been helping Bruce out a very tiny ammount on the Evony issue.
In regards to a completely different issue Bruce referred me to this website and suggested that I join because you guys are such a great and helpful community.
