Yes, finally broke free of the barrier. Yes very nice. If it is true, then it is a service...

There's a name from the mists of time, and I thought I had a "certain" reputation.
Yeah he tried his old tricks on me...got as far as the small claims court.
Another failure in his apparently long list of strike-outs...

please tell me he's not trying to get back into the industry...the last I heard he was stacking shelves or something equally beyond his capabilities.

Yup, That's what I heard but you know how the industry is with it's rumours...

Lord knows there were enough about me at one time...

I'm surviving...Out in Hamburg at the moment, which is fun. Not because of any reluctance on the behalf of UK developers, I just decided to work inhouse and take things in a different direction. Nine years freelancing got slightly irksome, especially when I was dealing with the Pocket Studios of the world.

The smaller independent studios were never very professional.

It's gratifying to know that Steve Lies is a universal hate figure.

Personally speaking, I won't be happy until there's news footage of mobs in Pakistan raging in the streets and burning his photo.

"He will try and rip you off"

Potentially libelous that. The rest is legal if it's true but they should be careful they don't get burned by their own fire.

New here, but been around a bit longer than that (also contracted with Mr. Illes in the past).

Is it true that he broke both his legs some while ago (or had them broken for him perhaps?).

I saw the 'funny bunny' pics on their site some months ago and had to laugh really :)

He is indeed around again, and has been pimping a Hogs of War 2 game to developers since October 2007 that I know of ...

We had dealings with him 16-17 years ago, we should of noticed then, but didn't, his surname is an anagram of "Lies"

Posted before - met him years ago. He looked at our game and immediately slagged off all the (actually rather good) artwork done by someone now on this very forum.

I used to hear a lot of stories about him but thought he'd fallen down a big, dark hole somewhere.

Is out there still - was racing superbikes (hence the broken legs) for which there is a lot of internet coverage.

He may have a new engine and a new team in Budapest.

Anyone have the skinny on this?

Got a link? Can't find anything on google. I know people who would kill for a link to Steve breaking both his legs!

Mentioned his name to a few people I know today, thinking few of them would know of him...

They all do, and all want him hurt!

How come people like this can get a job in the first place?

Hearing all this I'd say even a 70yo homeless person could do more good to a company then him
