Just wondering how many developers have actually signed on and use it. The whole aim was to bring developers and gamers together, just kind of wondering if it is actually happening or is it becoming a FaceBook for gamers.

 

In principle, it sounds alright, but it's a bit as you say, facebook/myspace, and personally, I can't be arsed, if I want contacts, I'll go through linkedin first, it's big enough, clean enough, simple enough and not really of the fanboi feel.

 

I have been using LinkedIn for a while now, haven't really got much use out of it though :/.

 

where it comes into its own is that loads in the industry use it, so search the company your applying to, and you'll probably find some one, with a name, you can stick a name to your cover letter, and perhaps figure out the email system to send direct to the art director or programmer etc and by pass HR....handy for the bigger places especially.
